Ultimate Greens Smoothie Recipe

Our Ultimate Greens Smoothie Recipe combines Clean Greens with fresh leafy greens and naturally sweet fruit. It's the full package for nutrition and taste and we can't think of a better way to start your day!

How can I make a greens smoothie taste good? 🌱

Green smoothies are synonymous with the health and wellness fanatics - but sometimes have a bad reputation for not tasting so good! We are pleased to say that you can enjoy a greens smoothie and it doesn't have to be an act of self-sacrifice for the good of your health!

Making a greens smoothie that tastes as good as it is for you is all about using foods which are naturally sweet to offset the sometimes bitter taste of green veg. We love using pineapple, kiwi, banana, mango and fresh berries in our smoothies 🍓

To maximise the flavour of your greens smoothie you can also use plant-based milk or juice instead of water, and swap out ice cubes for frozen fruit. This will add heaps of natural sweetness as well as extra vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre 🙌

What are the health benefits of Clean Greens? 💪

Clean Greens provides the goodness of 8 amazing superfoods, each packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is a rich source of Vitamins C & B6 as well as Iron - helping to support immunity and digestive health. Clean Greens is a convenient and reliable way to get the benefits of greens daily, as most of us fall short or our recommended intake of green fruit & veg.

Why should I add fresh greens to my smoothie? 🌿

Adding fresh leafy greens to your greens smoothie will boost the fibre content and also helps to slow down the absorption of sugar. Most fruit is naturally high in sugar, so adding some fresh greens to a smoothie can help you to enjoy the healthful nutrients found in fruit minus the sugar spikes. Of course, fresh leafy greens is packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants - just like our Clean Greens powder!

  • 1 tsp Clean Greens
  • 1 large handful of leafy greens - we love spinach or kale
  • 200ml plant-based milk
  • 50g banana
  • 50g pineapple
  • 50g mango
  • Flesh of 1 kiwi

  1. Add your leafy greens to a blender and blitz until smooth, then add the plant-based milk and blend once more - doing this first will get rid of any stringy or leafy chunks
  2. Next, add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blitz once more until smooth and creamy
  3. Serve in a tall glass with a reusable straw and enjoy!

Tip: You can use fresh or frozen fruit for this recipe! 🙌
